Apparently, you cannot make human breast milk cheese. Sad. Still, I think if I suddenly found myself with a supply of breast milk, I would be compelled to try it for myself. I would save that third liter for experiments with other dairy products, though.

Well fuck, humans are easy anyways. Try dolphins. I mean, they're not even land critters. And they're fast. Good luck milking a dolphin.

Hmmmmm......
I wonder how dolphin milk would be?
I would want to make dairy products from walrus or elephant seal milk. Probably very high in fat.

High in fat=fucking delicious beyond belief. I'm down, let me go get my harpoon and a few guns.

Can you still milk them after you shoot them?

Or were you just planning to chew on the blubber? (Mmm... pure fat... *Homer Simpson drooling noises*)

Hmm, not sure about that, but probably. I've probably got a tranqualizer gun around somewhere too.

I probably want one just to ride around. Yeah, that'd be fun. Or a buffalo to ride around. I hear Ted Nugent does that sometimes.

The point of human milk isn't that it's a challenge. The point is...um...well what the point is is beside the point!

But as for milking walruses and elephant seals...yes, you might be able to milk them after you shoot them, but if you can, you can only do it once. That seems a bit wasteful. I'd stick with riding them.

Also, this got me thinking...is buffalo milk less fatty than regular cow milk? It seems like since their meat is leaner, it should be. I wonder if you could make buffalo cheese. And if it's not fatty enough to make cheese with, then perhaps low fat buffalo milk is the next big thing.

Well, my conception of the west (which is more or less completely right) is that everyone there eats Buffalo meat, so it should logically follow that there should at least be some milk in the market out there. On my next journey in to another time zone, I'll investigate. This is all vital information. This is all important and must be written down.

I bet you could milk beefalo (I think I heard somewhere about beefalo cheese) but you would probably be pretty crazy to milk a buffalo- I don't know if they would appreciate it very much ;)

Breast milk cuisine, please, anyone?

Here's wishing the best to all those erotic breast milk delicacies!! Certainly wish to try some, soon!! By the way, i'm a good cook myself. Maybe I could try breast milk "kulfi" which is an indianized version of the "ice cream"..! Could someone tell me where I could get some human breast milk?

That makes me really sad. i also had the idea of making breast milk cheese oh well. We'll just have to settle for the yogurt.

I was hoping maybe the freezing of the breast milk reduced its ability to curdle...*crosses fingers* Do not lose faith, Alyssa! Maybe we will someday unlock the secret to human cheese!

I would also go for a nice bowl of human yogurt though... with some granola and fresh fruit mixed in, yum!

Ah yes, I shall donate to the "make human cheese" charity.

The answer will be found!

Oooh human yogurt, that sounds delicious, with a little bit of granola like you said and some strawberries oooh yum...

People were really freaked out when I told them that I would consider eating human... as long as they were organically raised. (Preferrably second generation organically raised...)

chef's special

I think we'd taste like pork instead of beef.

I got here from indrani.net. Very fascinating stuff. There was a comment earlier about freezing affecting the cheesability of the breast milk. It seems from Rani's original post, tho, that it's about the protein content. Ontoh, there was a comment on her blog about using a cheese starter...

Well, anyway good luck!

Good idea

I think you are on the right path. I think you are doing the right thing to test it. In Japan I was able to buy breast milk as if it was like soda and to make cheese out of it is a good idea. So it may take a bit of a change in the usual process, and change is good, you are right to try. The human sharing experience has become a frightful moment but breast milk is a sacred thing. Women who share it are to be thanked. Breast milk is erotic and medicinal and precious and women who would discount it’s impact are in need of a man who has an understanding of what nurturing is. Milk is for us all. Human milk is intrinsically beautiful.
